About The Market
Our Farm
The Market at Athiana Acres, for farmers, makers and bakers, is hosted on our beautiful farm located in Steveston, British Columbia, on the Unceded and Ancestral xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Territory. Athiana Acres is a 30-acre regenerative, Certified Organic working farm growing an abundant variety of vibrant vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. We supply to restaurants and flower shops around the city and offer our products direct to our community through our onsite market. Athiana Acres also hosts a variety of workshops, public and private events, and our talented in-house floral team creates beautiful arrangements for weddings and celebrations both onsite and offsite.
Market History: 2022 - Now
Our farm market has evolved over the past few seasons, and we are so grateful for the overwhelming support we have received as we continue to expand. We opened the gates to our farm in 2022, hosting two markets in our parking lot selling only our own farm products. In 2023 we expanded opening our market every Saturday from June – November with 1-2 rotating vendors each week and one large market with 8-10 vendors at the end of the season. The large markets were by far the most popular weekends we hosted, attracting over 1000 people to the farm, so in 2024, we focused on our large markets and hosted 1 each month from June – November. This has led us to our 2025 season.
With years of experience hosting and participating in markets, and a team with a strong background in event planning, we are thrilled to be hosting The Market at Athiana Acres every Sunday from June 1st – October 26th with over 30+ vendors. We look forward to welcoming some of our favourite local businesses to the farm.
Market Vision: 2025
The Market at Athiana Acres is a thoughtfully curated market featuring over 30 farmers, makers, bakers and more, in a unique setting set amongst our flower fields. Unlike any other market in the lower mainland, The Market is hosted in a large modern black-framed indoor-outdoor clear top tent providing a covered and elevated market experience. At Athiana Acres we are passionate about creating beautiful, memorable experiences for our community that provide opportunities to become more engaged in our local food system and connect with the incredible local businesses we have around us.
The Market is only one of the many activities that will be available to guests on Sundays at the farm – flower u-pick sessions, farm tours, workshops and rotating events such as yoga and musical concerts will also take place throughout the season.
There is truly something for everyone at Athiana Acres – The Market will include a wide range of products from baked goods to home decor, the flower fields offer a picture perfect backdrop for flower lovers, our expansive lawn spaces are perfect for kids to play and our educational programs are for those looking to deepen their knowledge in regenerative growing and flower arranging.
A Sunday at the farm is sure to leave all our guests feeling radiant and grounded.
